Thanksgiving 2020

04 December 2020

I'm so grateful for these two blessings in my life!
I love them so much.

Faith and her lovely chalk art.

Gosh, they are so incredibly beautiful and I am so honored to be their mom.

Silly outtakes.

Faith making a yummy charcuterie board.

Where her love for food and anything creative collide.

That day, one of the highlights was that we got to pay a surprise visit to Carolyn, whom we haven't seen in months. It was actually Roy's idea that we surprise her and I'm so glad we did. Carolyn and Roy are very special to us.

Somehow, we scored the best neighbors ever. Garrett & Laurie knew how busy we'd be with the move, so they smoked a turkey for us this year.

What a tremendous blessing, right?!

Garrett even carved it up and delivered it hot.
It was absolutely amazing!

Quick photo with my love before the day got away.

Our three little turkeys are growing up right before our eyes.

We spent a fun afternoon playing Uno and snacking.

Well, like many of you, Thanksgiving looked quite different for us this year. Our plans changed, kind of last minute (as in, the night before). Originally, we had planned for all of Morgan's side of the family to come for a few days. This was our year to celebrate Thanksgiving with them but the night before, our nephew, Shawn tested positive for Covid and everything got cancelled. We had a nice visit from cousins Calvin, Sam, Christian and Aunt Mary (forgot to take a photo!) but other than that, it was pretty quiet around here. We were disappointed that we couldn't be with everyone but of course, God already knew that was going to happen. He gave us more time to rest, enjoy the day together, and start packing. Thankfully, Shawn had very mild symptoms and recovered quickly. 2020 is a year full of disappointments but there is still so much to be thankful for.

I hope you found many reasons to be joyful this Thanksgiving.
