Christmas at Rich & Emily's

Our beauties, Emily and Madilyn.

These two. :))

Family ride around the neighborhood.

He LOVED his first bike ride.

Christmas with the little cousins.

The girls were able to finish their latest sewing project before Christmas.
They made their little cousin these adorable nightgowns.

She loved them. :)

And wore it the rest of the day. :)

The littles with Gomo and Halmoni.

Always fun to play with new toys.

She got the only American Girl "Grace" book she didn't have.

Faith was thrilled with her Ultimate Crafting Kit.

Always a risk to take a nap on the floor with littles around.

Zach messin' with Uncle Rich's pokey hair. :)

Well, we almost didn't make it to celebrate Christmas with my family. Morgan and I both had a bout of the 24 hour flu but thankfully, we recovered quickly and we were able to be with my family as planned. We're so grateful we got to spend time with all of our family during this blessed holiday season.
There's nothing better than being with the ones you love!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Christmas Morning

Good morning, sleepy head.

Daddy putting on the bracelet Grace made for Zach.

It's a tradition. :)

After stockings, the girls open the few remaining gifts from us. We like to give books and a couple of movies.

Zach likes all the bows.

Still learning the best way to get off the couch.

Faith is really interested in Bethany Hamilton and her books.

Grace is still crazy about Frozen.

Soul Surfer and American Girl.

A sweet morning indeed.

I love all the handmade gifts the girls come up with throughout this season. They've always been the sweetest when it comes to thinking of others and blessing us with whatever they can.

Our precious Grace wrote a paper in school about what Christmas means to her.
Her teacher loved it and so do I. :)

I almost didn't send out Christmas cards this year but the week before Christmas, I managed to snap a photo of the kids in front of the tree and my gifted friend, Holly designed and whipped out cards for me in no time. I was even able to mail them out before Christmas with a little update of our family's year on the back.

No fuss, no stress, no planning or primping.
Just a picture of our THREE greatest gifts.
Thank you, JESUS!

Christmas at the Clubhouse

But first... on the 22nd, Shawn & Christina came from Bakersfield to spend some time with us. The next morning, he was headed to Sacramento to spend Christmas with his girlfriend's family. Of course, I had to make him carne asada tacos since he loves them. :)

A game of Apples to Apples.

Watch your phone or he'll run off with it.

Zach got to open his gifts first.

He got an old school phone and a new phone.

Hanging out with Aunt Jen.

 Kyle, Mitchell and Christina.

What's Christmas without golf in the desert?

 Ping pong for all.

More fun and games.

Peek a boo.

 I see you!

Morgan decided to grow out a Christmas beard. :) You should see it now!

 The big cousins, minus Shawn.

 The ladies.

The gents.

 Our very own Schroeder.

 Let the gift exchange begin.

Zach likes all the crinkly paper.

 Christmas dinner.

Zach having fun hanging out with Uncle Ben.

Lucy's beautiful cake.

Our White Elephant gifts are always funny and interesting. It's a toilet bowl mug!

A sleep hood (there's actually NOTHING in the box).

The lamp from the movie, "A Christmas Story."

"A major award." :)

The Donald and Hillary.

I know... Our family is hilarious. :))

This year, we celebrated Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's clubhouse again. As usual, the space and activities were plentiful, as well as the laughs.
