Always smiling for Grandma.

Morgan and I were up at 4:00 in the morning and the kids were all up by 5:00. We attended a beautiful sunrise service at the lovely Vintage Club. We arrived in darkness but as the bagpipes played on the hill, it was absolutely breathtaking to see the moon on the west and the sun, slowly rising over the mountains on the east.

Afterwards, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Mary Jo came over for a simple brunch.

For Christians, Resurrection Sunday is perhaps better than Christmas. Everything we believe in about Jesus defeating the grave and the hope of eternal life is manifested on Easter.

This is what it’s all about. And this why we celebrate today.

As I reflect on our loved ones who have gone before us, I’m so grateful for God’s promises of everlasting life and the victory we have in our Risen Savior!

He is Risen
