Praise Jesus, our little man has made some HUGE strides this past week!

The biggest change:

He is no longer on the ventilator and that awful breathing tube is out of his mouth!! He’s now on a nasal cannula (nose prongs) which delivers minimal amounts of oxygen. The goal in the next couple of days is to wean him off that completely to nothing but room air. His mouth is now free to learn how to bottle feed. Little by little, as he gains more strength, he’ll be learning how to suck and swallow. Once he masters that, he’ll be that much closer to COMING HOME.

He currently weighs 5 lbs. 9 oz.

Needless to say, the doctors are all surprised by his incredible turn around. The Sovereign hand of God and His miraculous healing power in Zach has left us all in awe!

Please join us as we boldly pray for a complete and WHOLE healing in our son.

“And this is the boldness which we have towards Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” ~1 John 5:14

Labor Day weekend was beautiful in San Francisco. Unlike the other times we’ve visited, the sun was shining so we took full advantage by picnicking at the Golden Gate Park everyday. The park is located just a short walk away from the hospital. How nice it was to spend time outdoors playing in the middle of the day! Not something we can do at home-- just yet.

The park has carousel rides and the coolest playground area.

The girls requested dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf again. (This time, thankfully, we didn’t get robbed!)

Nurse Faith at your service.

We’re home now and resting up. Zach’s sweet nurses have been nothing short of amazing and they’ve been sending me photos of him everyday.

Here’s our sleeping angel.
