Well, not our pool but one we can use all summer long! The pool belongs to our sweet friends/neighbors, Miriam & Lee. They take their trailer up to Silent Valley every summer to escape the heat and they graciously offered to let us use their pool anytime. They live just down the street from us and it’s a short one minute bike ride. Why bike? Because it’s 105… at 4pm.

By the time we get home, we’re practically dry!

Last year, we survived our first year without a pool in the desert… Let’s just say, by August, we were melting.

After a long, hot weekend, cooling off in the pool was such a fun and welcomed treat!

So thankful for the kindness and generosity of sweet, sweet friends.

Let the summer memory making begin!

How sweet and kind of your neighbor. I can see in those photos that your kids enjoyed playing and swimming in the pool. Anyway, have you thought of constructing your own pool? This is a great idea, if you have a spacious backyard and have enough budget for it. Since your family loves dipping in the pool, this could be a better way to enjoy swimming anytime in your own place.

Hi Hettie,
Yes, we have designed and built our own pool in the past. At the moment we are renting and without a pool so the fact that our neighbors have been so generous has been a wonderful BLESSING to us.

Thank you for taking the time to check in. :)

You have a pool in your previous home, so your children must’ve been missing those fun pool moments. You’re lucky to have generous neighbors who let your kids use their swimming pool. Children really love being in the water, so given this opportunity, I’m sure they were really happy!

That’s one generous neighbor you have! Are you still open to designing and building your own pool? I just thought it would be nice to have your own pool for night swimming and parties. It’s actually a great investment, as it would increase the resale value and aesthetic appeal of your home. Good day!
