A special muffin to start the day.
We walked over to the tennis tourney.
It was a gorgeous morning in Indian Wells.
Explaining the game… quietly.
Fun!
Tennis, anyone?
Blessed.
Dinner at one of their favorite restaurants- Tony Roma’s.
It’s hard to believe that 5 years have passed since we brought the girls home from Korea on that wintery day. It’s been heartwarming to see them embrace and “own” the details of their adoption story with more joy, pride, and thankfulness as each year passes.
In celebrating, we had several ideas about today but for one reason or another, those ideas never came to pass.
What we did know for sure was that daddy was taking the day off.
And that was special enough.
It was a great day. Filled with memories, milestones, laughter, and lots and lots of love.
In about 2 weeks, our babies will be 6. They’re not exactly babies anymore. They’ve blossomed into lovely little ladies who have captured our hearts and forever changed us, for the better.
Thank you, God for the gift of entrusting us with these two precious souls. They bring light and joy to all those around them and have blessed us beyond anything we could have ever hoped or imagined.
Happy Adoption Day to us ALL!
“God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” ~Eph. 1:5
This is a very special day for ALL of you. Happy Adoption Day. The years just fly by!!!!
Teary eyed as I write this to you. Those beautiful girls have blessed our lives in so many ways and I am so thankful that the Lord placed them in our lives and that you answered the call on your heart to go get them and bring them home so many years ago. We love you all so much and are so happy you had a lovely day together.
