Father's Day 2011 058A

The morning was filled with hugs, kisses, and homemade cards.  We also made daddy a special breakfast.

The girls said it was like having dessert for breakfast!

A quick photo after church (those darn tattoos still won’t come off!).

In honor of daddy, I cooked up one of his favorite meals for dinner… summer salad and baked penne with meat sauce.

Daddy is our hero.  He has our love and respect.  He is a dying breed- a man of godly character, strength, gentleness, and humility.  When I think of Morgan, I see a wonderful example of the goodness and love of our Heavenly Father.  And I’m quite certain, that’s exactly what God had in mind when in comes to what an earthly father should be.

We thank God everyday that he is ours!  A good man obtains favor from the LORD.” ~Proverbs 12:2

“The happiest and holiest children in the world are the children whose fathers succeed in winning both their tender affection and their reverential and loving fear. And they are the children who will come to understand most easily the mystery of the fatherhood of God.” ~ John Piper

Thanks, Shan! With some EVOO and scrubbing, it nearly all came off. :)

You can also use rubbing alcohol. Took ours off perfectly. I'll have to remember the oil trick too! :)
