Christmas with the Yoon's

24 December 2018

We traveled to my mom's a couple of days before Christmas to celebrate with my family.
Baby Miles is already 4 months old and getting SO BIG!

 Grace was in love.

The cutest bunch of little cousins ever.

When you've got 5 kids, sleep is precious. 😄

Back home for Christmas Eve and the girls worked on a gingerbread house together.

I was just getting everything together to make a coffee cake for our Christmas morning breakfast when our neighbor, Ernie dropped off his famous Rum Cake.
Zach was ready to dig in NOW.

God knows about my baking skills and came through with perfect timing.

That evening, we also had carolers come by the house.

This year, the Yoon and Gough kids all got books for Christmas.
It was my sister in law, Emily's idea and of course, I agreed because we think books make fantastic gifts! Toys can break and kids can easily get bored with them but a good book is a treasure. Plus, it doesn't break and they can pass it on.

On a side note, I miss my dad. He has one more beautiful grandchild that will grow up without knowing him. A family is never the same without a loved one but somehow, we all gather up the courage to forge ahead because we have to. As Christians, we have this hope that even though a piece of us is missing here on earth, we know that someday, we'll be reunited again.
And this time, it'll be forever.

Christmas is the joyous reminder of the Love that came down for all mankind.
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life." -1 Timothy 1:15-16
