Cottonwood Creek Park

01 September 2016

Our hotel had a wonderful courtyard. It was complete with a pool, a lovely barbeque patio area, and a sport court.

Most of the time, Zach enjoyed running around, stealing the ball, and kicking it.

It was awesome to be outside and enjoying the nice weather!

Nothin' but net!

We wanted to soak up as much OUTDOOR time as possible before we headed home so we stopped at Cottonwood Creek Park in Encinitas.

Funny how Zach touched the slide and by habit said, "Hot." We assured him, unlike at home, it wasn't hot here and down he went.

They look huge on that rock!

Picturesque with a little creek running through it.

 Me and my girls.

Exploring with daddy.

 Spotted some dragonflies and butterflies.

 Best buds.

3/4. Love them all.

He happily found his way to some more flags and a veterans memorial.

I was reminded on this trip why I used to live in San Diego and loved it for many years. Yes, there are now tons of people and traffic can be a bit much but the weather is unbeatable and the family friendly activities are endless.

Back at home, we can feel a hint of summer ending with temps now in the lower 100's but it still makes it tough to spend any length of time outside.

It's coming though! And we can't wait to be back enjoying all the desert has to offer.

Thankful for weekend getaways and the fun and full time we had making memories in San Diego!
