Fathers have the incredible responsibility to shape and lead, not only their families but the world. They are called to do so by God himself. However, in our culture today, it seems like very few men rise to the challenge and privilege.
Today’s “so called” men are often in pursuit of their own desires and whims. They abandon their families or depend on their wives to support all that comes with the “American Dream.”
Today’s “so called” men have never grown up. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that much of our society’s problems stems from the breakdown of the family.
Perhaps that’s why we feel so blessed today and everyday. Our dads (and husbands) are not perfect but they are real men. They are devoted to their families and they live by a different set of values— one of dedication, courage, integrity, and faith.
They are strong yet gentle. They are quiet leaders and humble servants. They reach out their hand to anyone in need and they always strive to do the right thing— especially when no one’s watching. They love their children and adore their wives. They seek God for wisdom and strength and they pray, daily.
God bless all the fathers out there that have the courage to keep fighting the good fight. It’s certainly not easy. It’s a weighty responsibility but with God, nothing is impossible.
Honoring and celebrating the bravery and dedication of all the men in our family today!
Thank you for the legacy you are leaving.
Your family loves and appreciates you beyond words.
So true. . . . beautifully written!
