Our home away from home for the last 7 days… The Norwegian Pearl.
The Haven (adult only pool).
The Bowling Alley.
A few clouds couldn’t keep us off the waterslide…
Weeee!!!
Soaking in the hot tub with their new friends from Canada, Mikayla and her sister, Nicole.
Freestyle Dining is the way to go!
We enjoyed Teppanyaki one night.
Mama enjoyed her way too expensive cocktail…
While everyone else had plentiful desserts…
The girls loved the soft serve ice cream bar.
Morgan indulged in CHOCOLATE fondue!! I think there may be some fruit under there!
It’s time for Rock Climbing!
Of course Morgan had to pick the hardest course to climb.
He did it!! No problemo.
Now, it’s mama’s turn…
Faith giving me a little pep talk.
Ding, ding, ding!! I plugged along and did it! FUN!!
Playing cards in the game room…
The girls met another friend from Germany, Vivian. She hardly spoke any English but it was sweet to watch how friendship is an international language, all it’s own (smile).
A bit blurry but a nice family picture.
The girls were quite the little celebrities everywhere they went. In fact, daddy thought he should start charging $5 for every person who wanted to take their picture (smile)!
Awww, yay for us!!
Dinner at Cagney’s Steakhouse.
Faith wanted to take our picture and told us how to pose.
Two Cuties!
We met some lovely people on the cruise. We were blessed to meet a Halmoni from the Sacramento area. We happily adopted her as our Halmoni for the week.
And that’s a wrap!
At least of the first couple of days anyway…
Some facts:
In all of 8 cruises we’ve been on, it was our first time sailing Norwegian and we were pleasantly surprised! The Pearl was spacious, nice, and the food was fresh and good! I think we were mostly surprised because we paid so little. Did I mention the kids were free?
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stop at our first port (NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas). The swells were too big and it was unsafe to tender. So, we simply made the most of our time at sea.
Next stop… JAMAICA!
