Our homecoming anniversary was technically last weekend but since Morgan was still recovering from being sick, we decided to postpone any celebrating until we all felt better. We started the morning at our local zoo, the Living Desert. The night before, we read all about butterflies and caterpillars, in preparation for the Butterfly Exhibit. The girls got to ride on their first camel and loved it! Since they know their continents now, we talked a lot about how most of the animals we have at our zoo come from Africa, Asia and Europe.

Basically, it was a superb learning experience for our little homeschooling family and we all enjoyed every minute of it.

Later that evening, we went to church and then had dinner at Las Casuelas. So yummy! It was perfect because we always feel like "family" there.

We ended the day by watching our homecoming video. Afterwards, we remembered Faith and Grace's birthmother in our prayers and thanked God for making us a family.

Morgan and I feel so privileged to parent our amazing daughters and share our lives together. As we tucked them into bed, we left the video running downstairs and you could still hear the song, "What a Wonderful World" in the background... It was truly a special day and we couldn't be more thankful!
