A well deserved afternoon treat!
Breathtakingly beautiful!
We're still enjoying the last day of our vacay but I thought I'd get this post up while everyone's napping away. As far as sights to see, we had no specific activities planned, other than a day trip to Sedona. It's about 2 hours away from where we're staying so yesterday, we took a break from the resort pools and lazy river, packed a lunch, and hit the road after breakfast.

Highlights include...
Breathtaking scenery, the chapel at Holy Cross, hiking through Red Rock Canyon State Park, swimming in the refreshing creek, seeing crawfish under our feet, and exploring downtown Sedona.
The girls were quite the little hikers! It was 87 degrees (which we first thought was going to be cool). Wrong! At 4500 ft. above elevation, the sun had a way of beating down on you. The girls hiked for more than an hour through Red Rock Canyon before we stopped to picnic and jump in the creek. It was a new and fun adventure for the whole family!
