Gingerbread House

14 December 2009

The gingerbread house they saw at Candy Cane Lane.

Making their first gingerbread house.

Covering with snow.

Faith kept licking her fingers.

Decorating.

Ta-dah!

No, you may not eat the house!

They decorated everything themselves except for some window trim and
the Christmas tree.

This weekend was devoted to some fun Christmas activities. On Saturday night, we took the girls to Candy Candy Lane. Like last year, they enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the different houses on this festive street. Thankfully, the weather was good and we didn't have any rain. On Sunday, while I was attending my friend's baby shower, Morgan and the girls built their first gingerbread house. He said that the girls pretty much decorated the whole thing by themselves. It's funny because if you turn the house around, it's plain. It's only decorated on one side. I should have taken a picture of that! We also watched the Little Drummer Boy for our movie night. I love that movie. Here's a funny question that the girls asked after watching the last scene in the movie, "How come the Little Drummer Boy isn't in the Nativity set that we have?"
Hmmm...? Good question! ;)
