Hola! We're back! Things couldn't have gone much smoother on our trip. Everything from our flight to our accommodations were awesome! Most importantly, we all had a blast and everyone remained safe and healthy. The girls preferred the pool to the beach. I think it's because they're more familiar with the pool and the sounds of the beach can be a little scary at first. Plus, after eating the sand, they weren't quite sure what it's purpose was! It was wonderful for us to be together as a family and share some great quality time. We took tons of pictures. In fact, over 300 of them! Since there's no way that I could possibly spend the time posting all of them here, we put the pictures in a photo album on Shutterfly. If you'd like to see all of our vacation photos, please feel free to send me an email or leave a comment on the blog with your email address. I'll be happy to send you the link. Here are some highlights of our trip...

*We got to fly First Class on the way there. It was totally worth the upgrade for the extra space and service!

*Our accommodations were extremely spacious, super nice, and had all the conveniences of home. We had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. I should have packed way less!

*Traveling with the girls is sort of like traveling with mini-celebrities. It's so much fun to see how people react when they see them and how much joy they bring, wherever they go. They are just too darned cute, in any country!

*We were on the same beach where a letter in a bottle washed up on shore almost 7 years ago. This is where Morgan proposed to me.

*Just playing with the girls in the pool is great fun and entertainment in itself.

*No one got sunburned. Hooray!

*Morgan and I pampered ourselves by spending several relaxing hours at the beautiful resort spa. The hot stone massage was awesome!

*We continued our tradition of having breakfast on the beach at Cabo's famous hot spot... The Office.

* Quality family time!

A year ago today, Morgan and I left for Seoul to go meet our precious daughters. We can hardly believe that a year has gone by. Our vacation was the perfect way to celebrate our first year as a family!

Hasta Luego!

20 February 2008

Ok...
Bathingsuits, check. Sunhats, check. Lots of sunscreen, check! I think we're just about ready and we've packed all the essentials. I'll be signing off for about a week and hopefully, when we return, I'll have some great vacation photos to post. As always, we thank God for the gift and opportunity to be able to travel; especially now, as a family. We pray for a safe, healthy, fun and relaxing trip!

Cabo's famous landmark, Land's End (a.k.a. El Arco or Finisterra). The southernmost point of Baja California, where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez meet.

Go Fly a Kite!

18 February 2008

"It's a bird! It's a plane!..."

The girls chase after the kite.

Daddy lowers it so Grace can touch it.

There wasn't much wind so he got lots of exercise.

Grace chases after the tails.

The girls finally catch up to the kite.

"It's Elmo!"

Taking a break.

Daddy shows Grace how to blow bubbles.

Faith gives it a try.

Who doesn't like bubbles?

Daddy blows the best bubbles!

There's nothing like flying a kite and blowing bubbles to make you feel young again! It was a beautiful day on Sunday to do just that. This week is starting off a little hectic with Morgan being out of town on business and Faith slowly getting over a cold. It seems like our vacation has suddenly crept up on us; not that I'm complaining at all! We leave at the crack of dawn on Thursday and if all goes well, we should be on the beach by noon!
Ahhh, the mere thought of it makes me smile.:)

Picnic, purses and puppies...

15 February 2008

Praying at the picnic.

Peanut butter sandwiches made with love.

The girls having fun at their indoor picnic.

Saying bye and heading out the door with their purses.

The girls get a puppy in a pink purse from Grandma Penny and Grandpa Joe.

Grace is on the go!

Faith takes her puppy with her.

The girls pretend to go shopping.

Since we had a cold front come in yesterday, we set up our picnic table in the living room and enjoyed a low-key Valentine's Day lunch. In the afternoon, our neighbors and dear friends, Penny and Joe stopped by with gifts for the twins. The girls are really into purses and puppies right now so the gifts were a big hit! I put them to bed in the evening and managed to prepare a special dinner before Morgan got home from work. It was really nice to be able to relax and enjoy a quiet meal at home, just the two of us. All in all, it was a great Valentine's day!

We are excited to see my family in OC tomorrow. Rich and Emily got a new puppy so I'm sure the girls will have a ball.

Hugs & Kisses

14 February 2008

From our little sweethearts!

These are the precious Valentine's Day cards we sent to our family this year. Our plans today were to have a picnic at the park but we'll just have to wait and see how the weather cooperates. We may just end up having an indoor picnic! Either way, every day with my three loves is Valentine's day. We hope you enjoy the day with your loved ones!

The Sweet Life

11 February 2008

A gift from Aunt Mary.

Baking is fun!

Faith is pretty detailed.

Grace would rather sample the dough.

Faith makes her mold.

"Are they ready yet?"

Daddy shows Faith how to use the sprinkles.

Faith gives it a try.

Grace decorates with hearts.

Sticky and yummy!

Let the sugar high begin!

Sweets for my sweets.

We spent much of our Sunday afternoon baking and decorating our Valentine's Day cookies. Morgan says that it's not really a sugar cookie unless it has lots of frosting on it so we made sure to be generous on the icing and sprinkles. The girls enjoyed making their own cookie and of course, eating it too. Now, if I can only get them to help me clean up! Let's just say... pink sprinkles everywhere!
I have to confess though, it was mostly my mess.
