Ladybugs are attracted to lights.

Checking out their fellow bugs, the ants.

We started the afternoon by paying a quick visit to Grandma & Grandpa so that they could see the girls in their costumes. Grandpa is now finally home from the hospital and we are so happy that he's on his way to recovery. Thank you for all your prayers. It has been a rough couple of weeks, to say the least. Grandma has been taking such good care of him. She will get a much deserved little break this weekend when Roy, Morgan's youngest brother comes to town.

The girls enjoyed dressing up as ladybugs and knew that it was their halloween costume. As we got ready, they kept saying, "My halloween costume" and "fly, fly, fly!" We went to our church's Harvest Fun Fair again this year and everyone had a great time. It was like they could have stayed there the whole night. They were just so happy, relaxed, and contented. I didn't get them treat bags with their costume or anything to put candy in because we already decided that they weren't going to stand in the trunk or treat line anyway- maybe next year. Still, they somehow knew what the day was all about and managed to try and raid Maddie and Cobi's treat bags. They negotiated one piece of candy from daddy the whole night. I'd say that's pretty good on daddy's part. Instead, in addition to the apple I brought for them, they got two little bags of popcorn (which they've never had before). That seemed to suffice as their treat. They were so happy to be eating their popcorn and apples from their very own little bag. Faith asked daddy several times, "Just one piece of candy, please?" But daddy stood his ground and she never made a fuss about it.

All in all, it was so much fun to see their development from last halloween and how their personalities are taking shape and blossoming. We are learning that they are very social and love a good party. On the way home, Morgan said, "They are so much fun to hang out with!" So true.

I know that I'm a little biased but they were also the cutest little ladybugs that I've ever seen. Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!
