"Road trips are fun but we're sleepy."

We took our first road trip in the new minivan this weekend. We managed to get in lots of activities. We visited my family in OC, Morgan and I got our haircuts, we went out to dinner with one of Morgan's clients and his wife, and we attended a fun birthday party for Peter and Melinda's son, Ethan. Morgan and I got to enjoy a scrumptious dinner with adult conversation at Mastro's Steakhouse on Saturday night. I'm still full from all the food we ate! It was the best steakhouse meal we've ever had... better than Ruth's Chris or Morton's! On Saturday, we spent the night in a hotel with the girls and on Sunday morning, we left to go to Travel Town Museum at Griffith Park for Ethan's 3rd birthday party. As you can imagine, Ethan is very much into trains so this was a great way to celebrate his birthday. The girls really enjoyed walking around the museum, going inside a real train, and taking their first-ever train ride. They got so excited every time the train would come by. They would stop and scream and start waving at all the people. It was very cute. This was a fun ending to our third weekend in a row of birthday parties! By the way, the minivan was wonderful for traveling. The ride was comfortable and there was plenty of room for all our stuff. We highly recommend it!
