In regards to schooling, the only thing we've focused on this summer (other than family discipleship and piano) is reading. Yesterday, the girls finished all 90 pages (45 short lessons) in their I Can Read It book.
We enjoyed a celebratory dinner at the new Red Lobster in town (thanks for the gift card, Cal & Brigid!). As well as dessert at Yogurt Island! Their teacher (me), presented them with a Certificate of Completion.
Can you sense the joy and pride?
Grace has always loved to read and it's something that's come a little easier for her.
Faith has definitely been the "Most-Improved." She's come a long way and really hit her stride this past month. Good thing she's competitive... she wasn't going to let her sister get too far ahead of her! When she started out, she wasn't crazy about reading because it was the one thing she really had to work hard at. She recently caught up to her sister and through sheer determination, she started enjoying it, too! She can't wait to start her next book.
Great job, girls! We are so proud of you. YOU DID IT!
