Pretty amazing to be in the theatre where President Lincoln was assassinated in 1865.
Although we didn’t go into the White House (you needed to make an appt. about 5 months in advance) we did see the Executive Helicopter land.
The Washington Monument and the Reflecting Pool…. AMAZING!
Ulysses S. Grant.
Getting our staff led tour of the Capitol building.
The Supreme Court.
Command Capsule of Apollo 11 at the Air & Space Museum.
The Wright Flyer.
The Lincoln Memorial was SPECTACULAR!
The Vietnam War Memorial.
The Korean War Memorial.
Many veterans were visiting… so sweet.

Who says you can’t do D.C. in one day?
Ok, so maybe it’s not the most ideal way to do it but we sure covered a lot of ground! Despite the fact that we were on a trolley tour, I’ve never walked so much in my life! By the time we got to Arlington National Cemetery, we were already exhausted. Then they told us it was pretty much all UPHILL! It was SO worth it though!
This was our first time in D.C. and we were intrigued with all the architecture, the history, the grandeur, the symbolism, the memorials, the museums, and the overall cleanliness of the area. I only wish we could’ve spent more time at the Natural History Museum.
As an American, Washington D.C is definitely a trip worth taking.
I can't believe you did all that in one day! That's awesome! I bet your little legs were ready to rest for sure. Love you all! h
