Meet our very own Colonial Girl and Betsy Ross.
A couple of months ago, the girls used some of their birthday money to buy these adorable costumes for our summer trip. I can’t believe it’s already time to go! In preparation, we’ve also been learning about our U.S. Presidents, the Revolutionary and Civil War, and early Colonial life.
Can you guess where we’re headed?
Here are some more clues…
- This state is known as “the birthplace of a nation.”
- Named for England’s, Queen Elizabeth I.
- Eight U.S. Presidents were born here.
- Founded in 1693, The College of William and Mary is the second oldest college in the U.S.
- The first Thanksgiving in North America was held here in 1619.
- Home to “The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”.
- 10th of the 13 original colonies.
- Has had 3 capital cities.
Got it, yet?
Check back in a few days and hopefully, I’ll have some updates and pictures to share.
Until then, stay cool and happy weekend!
have fun!!
