We saw fun signs like this when we looked out our balcony...
and this...
We also visited a 26 acre petting farm in the area.
The girls LOVED the chicken coop and could have stayed there ALL DAY!
All in all, we had a good combination of "things to do" and "down time" during this week.
It turns out, 2 weeks is a long time to be away from home. The first part of our trip was fascinating, historical, and at times, exhausting (lots and lots of walking!). Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Basically, it felt like a big 'ole long field trip and daddy was there every moment, leading the way. From lighting bugs to hail storms, it was just so awesome to be together as a family.
Williamsburg is truly a beautiful part of Virginia and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about American History. As far as Virginia Beach... let's just say, "We've been there and done that now." Apparently, we're quite spolied when it comes to beaches!
It's Official: There's nothing quite like the West Coast beaches of Southern California (except for Hawaii, that is).
And, there's nothing like time away to remind you of how much you love your life back home!
As usual, the girls were fantastic little travelers. They took every adventure, every twist and turn, in stride, with ease, contentment, and resilience.
They even managed to share Christ with a few kids along the way! Amazing!
loved the chicken pictures!
Glad you're home! Missed you!! Thanks for all the pictures - loved them all
