A couple of weeks ago, we got a sweet unexpected surprise. My friend, Sam owns a timeshare through Marriott and she and her family had an extra week that they were not going to use. She graciously gifted us her week and told us that we could choose anywhere in the world we wanted to go! Since we are trying to save money right now, (as well as our airlines miles) flying to a destination just didn't make sense. Our choices came down to Vegas, Scottsdale or Newport Beach. All great properties and locations but our first choice was Newport Beach. Especially since hot temperatures were soon making their way here to the desert. Newport was also convenient because it's actually closer to Morgan's office in LA. Morgan ended up working for much of the week but he was free in the evenings to have fun with us. Marriott's Newport Coast was a gorgeous property just across from Crystal Cove State Park and Beach. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath villa with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. It was so nice to be able to spread out and have all the conveniences of home. What a welcomed and unexpected treat it was to be able to spend a week at the beach! Thanks, Sam! We had a blast and made lots of fun memories along the way. Here are some of the highlights of our week...*the beach!

As you can imagine, I have tons of pictures so I'll be breaking up the days and posting more very soon. Bear with me as posting photos on blogger has been a little weird lately. Most of my pictures have been coming out grainy and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it!
