"He is not here; He has risen. Just as He said." -Matthew 28:6
I was up early preparing food for brunch, filling Easter eggs and the kids' baskets.
I kept it simple with a book, a small gift and some sweet treats.
We used to spend Easter with Grandma & Grandpa and they used to bring the kids Easter baskets.
We sure do miss them, especially during the holidays.
Faith decorated our chalkboard early in the week.
He is RISEN indeed!
Every year, she loves to make deviled eggs.
Grace blessing us with lovely piano music.
Can I just tell you how wonderful it's been to have music flowing in our home during this pandemic?
Music is so good for the soul.
All done!
We watched our church service online. Jeremy Camp was our special guest during worship time.
Daddy is known for making Zach his special holiday pancake creations.
We enjoyed a simple brunch after church.
Zach liked the GF Cinnamon Streusel Cake I made.
And his new friend, Roo.
Our sweet little chicks and blessings from the Lord.
Growing old together and weathering the peaks and valleys of life. What a privilege.
Let the egg hunt begin!
It was a gorgeous and sunny Easter day. We had a lovely time, celebrating our Risen Savior.
"Spring is here to show us that extremes in life cannot exist without their opposite. Life and death depend on each other in the same way that all opposites do. Happiness and sadness, bitter and sweet, anger and peace, hope and fear. We wouldn't know the sweetness of victory without the disappointment of defeat. And we wouldn't recognize those heart-warming moments of breathtaking happiness if they were not hidden among harder days of disappointment.
Hang in there beautiful friends. We will take root and find the surface again. No matter how dark and deep your disappointment, there is even more light and love and hope ahead for you.
God is always good you guys and Sunday always comes."
