Happy 13th Birthday, Girls!

29 March 2019

Well, it's official...
We have two TEENAGERS in the house!

They have grown into such lovely young ladies. 💕

And little brother couldn't help but want to be in the picture, too.😄

Our little angels.

Oh, how I miss those sweet toddler years with these two.

It all just flew by so fast!

Opening gifts on the morning of their birthday.

Morgan and I tried to decorate a little.

Zach was impressed. 😂

We even managed to pull off some late night decor of their bedroom door.
(They were surprised in the morning!)

Morgan took the day off and we went on a family hike.

This art exhibit (part of Desert X) was displayed at the base of our hike to the cross.

I can't get over how big Zach looks in the photo.
This was the first time he hiked up the cross on his own. Good job, buddy!
(Except for the time you ran and fell and cut yourself.) 😕

Next, we celebrated with a scrumptious brunch at Wilma and Frieda's.

In the evening, we enjoyed a family picnic at our park.

And shared coconut cake with some neighbors.

It's hard to believe it but the girls are teenagers now!
I know it's cliché to say but it truly has flown by SO FAST.
Especially the last 5 years.

They are beautiful girls, inside and out. They inspire us with their bravery as well as their sweet compassion for others. I'm looking forward to what the next 5 years will bring!
One thing is for sure... I know it will go by in a flash.

Faith and Grace,
May the Lord keep you in the palm of His hand and may you never stop pursuing a real and intimate  relationship with Him. You were made to love Him, worship Him, and shine your light so others can see Him, too. We couldn't be more proud of you both.

Happy 13th birthday to two of our greatest blessings!
We are so honored to be your parents.

Maui Part 4

21 March 2019

A game of Uno in the condo.

Last shaved ice by the pool!

The sea turtles at Kam 3 were very friendly.

Zach wanted an up close look.

He almost came up on shore.

He decided to get some sun on his top half.

Swinging at the beach park at Kam 3.

Keeping up with Zach is my exercise. He loved running up and down the beach.

That little portable cd player was the best pre-trip buy for $25.
It kept him occupied listening to his audio books on the plane and in the condo.

Zach tries out some traditional instruments.

The kid has always had rhythm. 🥁

Babes in paradise. 💗💗💗

Last sunset on the island.

A quick stop to Twin Falls along the road to Hana.

Then back on the plane for our flight home. Happy with snacks and his audio books. 👍👍

Co-pilot Zach safely lands the plane. 😄🛬

Whew! And that's a wrap for our Maui vacation!

Gosh, it's probably been 15 years since Morgan and I were in Maui. Bringing the kids with us this time was so special. We experienced some amazing adventures during our 9 day stay!
The 2 bedroom condo we rented in Kihei was absolutely perfect for our family. It had plenty of room to spread out with all the amenities we could ask for. Plus, out of all the beautiful beaches we visited on the island, we ended up loving our beach (Kam 3) the most. It was not only gorgeous, it was convenient, and we saw the biggest turtles there.

The girls have always been the best travelers and Zach is getting a whole lot easier to travel with, as well.
He enjoys airports (as you can imagine), he sleeps well in a bedroom with his sisters, and as long as we stay in America or Mexico, he eats well.

Bonus this trip: we didn't lose him. 😁

So grateful for this fun family trip and for all the wonderful memories we made!

Mahalo, Maui!

Maui Part 3

19 March 2019

 Kaanapali Beach.

One of the highlights for Morgan and the girls was cliff jumping off Black Rock (you can see it in the distance). The climb was dangerous enough but then, when they got to the top, they had to jump 30 feet into the ocean. What a thrill!

Zach playing by the tide pools.

Believe me, Zach tried to climb up to Black Rock, too but we had to stop him. 😂

Another amazing highlight for the girls... Their first time horseback riding!

Giddy up, girls!

Grace looks so regal on her horse.

 Cowboy Morgan.

 Faith the Horse Whisperer.

 More rainbows...

We don't have these kinds of palm trees back home.

Hanging out with my little haole on the beach. 😍

Beautiful Wailea.

Morgan and I got out one morning for a jog along Wailea's scenic shoreline.

Dinner shenanigans with my little bug. 😎

One last post on Maui, coming up!
