Grandma came over today so that we could celebrate her 69th birthday!
The girls were excited about seeing her all day. They even helped me make a sugar-free lemon pie this morning. We had a delicious birthday dinner of filet mignon, baked parmesan mashed potatoes, and an autumn salad. Unfortunately, Grandpa couldn't join us because he is still much too tired.
He was really missed, though. Grandma has been working so hard, taking care of grandpa and all their duties around the house. She definitely deserved a little break and it was so good to be able to sit down and share a nice meal together. It's been way too long since we've been able to do that. Grandma, you are an amazing woman and we are so blessed to call you "mom" and "grandma." The girls managed to make her cry when they sang happy birthday to her (with happy tears). Thank you for living your life with unconditional love, steadfast faith, a servant's heart, and joyful hope in the Lord. What an incredible living legacy you are to our family. We love you.
Her children rise up and call her blessed.
