We weren't originally planning to go to Legoland on this trip but at the last minute, Morgan's business got him free tickets. So, we thought, why not? The girls aren't really into legos but they still loved seeing all the moving animals throughout the park. It's really amazing to see all that you can build with legos. There were quite a few kiddie rides that the girls were tall enough to do and enjoy. The park also had some fun water features for the kids. It was a great way to cool off after a warm and fun day.

We also ventured over the Bay Bridge into downtown San Diego. We stopped to walk around Seaport Village where the girls went on their first carousel ride. In hindsight, we should have picked the horses that didn't move up and down. They were both a little scared to ride all by themselves, even though we were right there beside them.

We also went to the harbor where we enjoyed dinner at Anthony's Seafood Grotto. Years ago, I used to go there often when I lived practically across the street in the Gaslamp Quarter. The USS Midway was nearby and a sight to behold. The pictures don't do it justice but it was massive and quite inspiring with the sun setting in the background. You couldn't help but feel a sense of patriotism and great pride in our country.
