First Date Night in Texas

12 February 2021

When I made my goals for the new year, a date night each month was one of my top priorities but thanks to COVID (see last post), January started off as a bust. As soon as I was feeling better though, we made it out. So what if it happened the first week of February, instead of the last week of January?

That just means we'll have 2 date nights this month!😉

We didn't go far. We've been meaning to try Marty B's which is less than 2 miles from our house in Bartonville. It's a modern BBQ restaurant with live music, outdoor games, and this...

A gigantic fire pit.

Just the thing to enjoy a drink and keep us cozy while we waited for our table.
The food was fantastic! Morgan had the best burger and I had a delicious signature brisket salad.
Best of all, it was just so wonderful to be healthy again, to catch up, and decompress a little after our big move.

There is still no other person I'd rather grow old with than you, babe!
Here's to all new adventures together.💗💗💗

Speaking of getting cozy by the fire...

Winter has officially arrived to North Texas!

Apparently, according to locals, it's been a mild winter thus far. Of course to us California Cactus Flowers, we think 50 and 60 degree highs have been chilly. We get it now! Explains why we've been cold and bundled up while we see others wearing shorts.😁

This next week should be interesting. It's like Texas decided to have winter all in one week, y'all!

If you need me, I'll be making something warm, watching movies, reading, and getting cozy with the fam in front of the fire.

Happy Valentine's Day Weekend! 💗
