Veteran's Day ended up being the perfect day to take Zach on a little field trip.
I've had a zoo membership for months but between all his therapy appointments and our regular weekly schedule, I haven't really had time to squeeze in any field trips.
Right when we walked in, we saw this baby hedge hog.
We can never go to the zoo without a ride on the carousel.
He's such a big boy, he got up and off all by himself.
This is the new wristband we've been wearing when we go out to places that are particularly spacious or crowded. My end looks the same as his. Zach's always been a runner so this has been an absolute God-send. We have two sizes. This is the longer one that stretches to 8 feet.
We visited the Butterfly Garden.
This poor little guy had a broken wing.

We had a great morning!
We would've stayed longer too if it hadn't been so dang hot!
