This was our 3rd year attending Family Science Camp up in Thousand Pines.
I have to say, it is one of the most highly anticipated weeks for us all.
Even Zach talks about it all year!
The kids just love hanging out with their friends all day and playing outside in the mountains.
Thor, the animal trainer is always a big hit. Zach loved petting all the animals.
Oh, boy. Can you say, "Dirt Magnet?" 😝🙈
The rock wall and zip line is always a highlight at FSC.
Zach gets ready.
Morgan is a pro and makes the hardest wall look easy!
Littlest climber.
Thankfully, daddy was up there pulling him up.
A family that climbs together stays together.
It was a good day for this kid. 😄
I love that my friend Sarah and her family joined us this year.
Here we are, all cleaned up and waiting for evening worship to begin.
Look at my little guy. This photo just makes me happy.
Concentration on the low ropes course.
Fun for the bigs and littles.
And of course, if there is a dirt trail, Zach will need to ride it.
Sweet girlfriends.
Don't mess with these two.
Paint ball, anyone?
Listening to the safety rules is serious business.
The dads have just as much fun as the kids.
Each year, the camp becomes less about science and more about outdoor activities. In fact, we've suggested changing the name to Family Adventure Camp. Whatever they call it, we'll be there. It's really a hidden gem. Where else can you experience all kinds of fun activities in the great outdoors, all the while, with the emphasis of God as Creator. For me, I get a break from cooking every meal and cleaning. For dads, they gladly miss work to play with their kids and basically, be a big kid themselves. The fellowship is wonderful, the memories are outstanding, the focus is on point, and shhh... the price can't be beat. 😉
Another Family Science Camp is in the books!
