I can hardly believe how long its been since we've been able to make it up to the cabin (last Spring).
Look who's grown taller than the bear now?

He found a stick outside and he pretty much occupied himself for HOURS. 👊
This picture just makes me laugh. Morgan was trimming some of the branches off the deck with his electric saw and Zach was doing the same thing with his stick (while making the noise of the electric saw). 😄
A little hard work is good for the soul. Faith helps with some clean up and maintenance.
Dinner shenanigans at Maggio's.
We saw this bulldozer parked at Bear Mountain Resort so we stopped to let the little guy have a closer look. Because he's all about the heavy machinery!
My big and little men.
He went back to playing with his stick and because it was getting chilly outside, I made him put on his jacket. This picture is misleading because he couldn't stand wearing it. It was too confining for him.
What's a jacket anyway, mom?!
Enjoying a movie and popcorn downstairs.
Grace was taking advantage of the beautiful COOL weather by reading OUTSIDE.
Little Explorer.
A boy and his stick.
Littlefoot sighting.
Faith was a big help to daddy around the homestead.
Those curious eyes just want to go explore.
Snack break and more exciting reading for Grace.
Work is done. It's time to play!
Beautiful Boulder Bay!
Searching for treasures.
Faith's floatie blew across the bay and she ran all the way around to try and chase it down.
This nice boy went to go get it for her and she even hitched a ride back. 😊
Checking out the airplanes and helicopters from the dock.
Back at the cabin, enjoying our peek-a-boo view of the lake.
Grace and I playing a round of Bananagrams.
For dinner, the kids enjoyed leftover pizza from Maggio's, grilled potatoes and a salad.
This kid loves his pizza!
Meanwhile, Morgan grilled up some filets and veggies.
Alfresco dining in the mountains. This is as close to a date as we get!
We filled up all the bird feeders on the deck and watched the birds come for their dinner, too.
Our dinner for two lasted about 6 minutes. 😜
Here he is, crashing our date and working on his puzzles.
Watching morning cartoons... with his stick. 😂
Ski lift to the Alpine Slide (with the family behind me).
Hold on, kids!
Made it to the top!
Ready for his first time on the Alpine Slide!
Of course, he LOVED it!
So much so, he wanted to do it again and again!
Playing outside after a picnic lunch.
It was just a short weekend stay but I can't tell you how nice it was to escape the desert heat and be OUTSIDE, enjoying the beautiful weather up in the mountains. The mornings and evenings were chilly (to us, anyway) and the day temps were sunny and perfect in the high 70's! We haven't been able to use the cabin very often but thankfully, its been rented out and enjoyed by friends and family.
What a blessing it is to have a summer escape! We hope to be back for snow season!
