Started the day with the girls’ favorite… Pumpkin Pancakes!
Zach got one, too… Just his size. :)
My littlest pumpkin.
Love him!
Later, the girls made caramel apples.
They had to keep daddy away from all the caramels.
Dip and swirl.
Now choose your topping.
Ooh, yum! They turned out great!
In the afternoon, we stopped by our park/greenbelt area where they had a fun Halloween Carnival for all the residents of our community. Faith decided to dress up as Mulan.
Grace decided not to dress up at all.
Daddy and Zach enjoyed the swings.
Bounce house fun.
Carnival games.
Food and drinks.
More games…
We spent a pretty low key Halloween at home this year. Plus, we were finally able to spend some time organizing our “school room” downstairs. Yay, it’s done!
The girls have always been sensitive to the dark side of Halloween and over the last couple of years, they’ve had no desire to go trick or treating. Turns out our HOA’s community carnival was the perfect festivity for the kids. They played games, got candy, met some new neighbors, and then we walked home.
At night, we enjoyed some yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup, our caramel apples, and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
The girls were absolutely thrilled this afternoon to see that a couple of our neighbors took down all of their gory decorations.
Goodbye, Halloween…
Cue the Christmas music! ;)
