I set out on a narrow way
Many years ago
Hoping I would find true love
Hoping I would find true love
Along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
I wiped my brow
Kept pushin through
I couldn't see how every sign
I couldn't see how every sign
Pointed straight to you.
And every long lost dream
Led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
They were just northern stars
Pointing me on my way
Into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
And led me straight to you.
I think about the years I spent
Just passing through
I'd like to take the time I lost
And give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of His grander plan
That is coming true.
And every long lost dream
Led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
They were just northern stars
Pointing me on my way
Into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
And led me straight to you.
And every long lost dream
Led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
They were just northern stars
Pointing me on my way
Into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
And led me straight to you.
I think about the years I spent
Just passing through
I'd like to take the time I lost
And give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of His grander plan
That is coming true.
And every long lost dream
Led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
They were just northern stars
Pointing me on my way
Into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
And led me straight to you.
It's impossible for me to hear this song without getting a little teary-eyed. Especially the version from Selah. Morgan and I got married a little later in life than most people do. It was one day shy of my 31st birthday and about a month away from Morgan's 39th. Our wedding day was perfect. It was a beautiful and sunny afternoon on the beach. We were surrounded by all of our family and friends. I remember being calm and not the least bit nervous at all.
I knew without a doubt, this was the beginning of a match made in heaven.
It was also the end of life as I knew it. I was no longer on this journey alone.
Our wedding day was truly one of the greatest and happiest days of my life.
I have very few regrets in life. Sure, there are some things that I would probably do differently but ultimately, every road I traveled, led me to Morgan and shortly after, to the heart and grace of God. For that, I am eternally grateful! Happy 9th Anniversary to the love of my life. You were absolutely worth the wait!
happy anniversary guys!!
so sweet. I love that song too, totally makes me tear up!
