Halloween was extra special this year because my parents came to visit us this weekend. The girls were so excited to be able to wear their kitty cat costume that I pieced together, here and there. We allowed them to take a 3 hour nap in the afternoon, just so they could stay up a little longer than normal. It was also the first time that we let them stand in the trunk or treat line for candy at our church's Harvest Fun Fair. They loved seeing all of their friends in costume, jumping in the bounce house, dancing, and eating popcorn. We managed to get by with only giving them 3 or 4 pieces of candy all night. Not bad considering the stash they collected in their treat bags!
Afterwards, we ended up going to Las Casuelas for a light dinner and some more dancing. The staff reminded us that last year, we came in on Halloween as well. They even remembered that the girls dressed up as lady bugs.
The management, staff, and the band are all so good to us over there.
We love going in to see our friends and celebrate special occasions. It was such a FUN weekend! I had forgotten how much fun it is to "dress-up."
Morgan did a super job of painting our faces. Can't wait til next year!
