Hailey told us about the Tamale Festival held in downtown Indio this past weekend so we decided to go check it out on Saturday morning. We were also excited to learn that there was going to be a hometown parade at the festival. It was the girls' first experience watching a parade and they had fun. They especially liked all the bands. After the parade, we walked around and ate some yummy tamales. Apparently, the Food Network ranks this as one of the top 10 festivals in the country. I can certainly see why. There was something for everyone- carnival rides, bounce houses, music, and of course, some serious, prize winning tamales! We had a blast. Thanks for the heads up, Hai!
Sweet! I'm so glad you all had fun. We sure enjoyed it too!! Next year we'll have to make it to the parade.
